1 Day Landscape Painting Workshop

About the Workshop

1 DAY LANDSCAPE PAINTING WORKSHOP £95.00 A 1 day course painting the landscape en plein-air (from life). I will be teaching in oils but the workshop is aimed for painters in all mediums (acrylic, oil, gouache, watercolour, etc.) The workshop is held at my home studio in Kent (in Biddenden, a 1.5-2 hour drive from London or a 1.15 min train from Charing Cross to Headcorn). There are plenty of views to paint nearby. I will begin the day with morning coffee while I talk you through the plan for the day, followed with some sketching exercises and tips on composition. I will show you how to work from the landscape and from reference photographs. After lunch we will head out into the field and get started on our own landscape paintings. I will be painting alongside you for reference and I will also make sure you each have time for one-to-one help and feedback. The workshop style is relaxed and friendly. I hope to create an environment that is encouraging and informative but also helps you tap into your creative skills and relax through the process! Please bring your own materials. Tea, coffee and cake will be provided. Please bring your own packed lunch. All abilities are welcome. Price: £95 Timings: 10.30am - 4pm I will send out a materials list for all students before the workshops. This will include options for differing budgets and experience with links to buy to make it as easy as possible. I do have some spare materials which you are welcome to use but please get in touch beforehand so I know how much to provide.
